Jake Gyllenhaal Grieves Heath Ledger’s Death

Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger became close friends while filming Brokeback Mountain. In fact, Jake is godfather to Heath’s daughter, Matilda Rose.

Currently Jake is filming in New Mexico for his upcoming movie, Brothers. TMZ reports that Jake Gyllenhaal is very upset by Heath Ledger’s death and does not want to talk to the media. The set of his movie has been closed to non-crew members and extra security has been added.

Heath Ledger Found Dead in His NYC Apartment

January 23rd, 2008

Heath Ledger’s housekeeper and masseuse found him dead in his SoHo apartment today from an apparent accidental overdose. Two anti-depressant medications were found near him. Police are investigating, but Heath’s family is saying it does not appear to be a suicide.
